Our driver guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel/airport/place of residence at 6:00 am for an exciting trip to the Amboseli National Park.
Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.
You will arrive in time for lunch, check in at your lodge for lunch, and have a short relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you will depart for a game drive at the Amboseli National Park before returning to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge/Sopa Amboseli Lodge.
Full Day at Amboseli National Park
You will rise with an early breakfast and proceed for a full-day game drive at the Amboseli National Park. Our guide will bring packed picnic lunch for this full-day game drive experience spent looking for the well-known predators among them the Big Five like the lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalos and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Dik dik and Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah and woodlands beautifully viewed from the Observation Hill.
The swamp below observation hill hosts many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of water fowls like Pelican, Egyptian goose and other bird species as Amboseli National Park is also known as the birder’s paradise. You can also have an optional visit to the Masai village to experience and learn about the contemporary culture and indigenous lifestyle of the Masai people. After a day-filled game experience, you will later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge/Sopa Amboseli Lodge.
Amboseli National Park to Nairobi
Your final day starts with an early breakfast then checkout followed by an enroute game drive out of the park. Then start your return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel within Nairobi or at the airport to catch your departure flight back home.
